The Spice of India is a well-established takeaway and restaurant in Aarhus, known for authentic Indian flavors and warm hospitality. We are now expanding into a full-service restaurant and are looking for skilled Chefs who can bring genuine Indian culinary traditions to life.
We are seeking experienced Chefs with expertise in:
Curry preparation (North & South Indian specialties)
Tandoor cooking (breads, meats, kebabs)
Indian desserts (traditional sweets, fusion desserts welcome)
You will be part of the kitchen team, responsible for creating high-quality dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to menu development.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes (curry, tandoor, desserts)
Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation
Work with the management team to design menus and seasonal specials
Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per Danish food regulations
Train and supervise kitchen assistants and helpers
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Indian cuisine
Proven skills in tandoor cooking and curry-making
Strong knowledge of Indian desserts
Culinary diploma/certification in Indian cooking (preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Proficiency in English (Danish is a plus, but not required)
