The Spice of India is a well-established takeaway and restaurant in Aarhus, known for authentic Indian flavors and warm hospitality. We are now expanding into a full-service restaurant and are looking for skilled Chefs who can bring genuine Indian culinary traditions to life.

We are seeking experienced Chefs with expertise in:

  • Curry preparation (North & South Indian specialties)

  • Tandoor cooking (breads, meats, kebabs)

  • Indian desserts (traditional sweets, fusion desserts welcome)

You will be part of the kitchen team, responsible for creating high-quality dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to menu development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes (curry, tandoor, desserts)

  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation

  • Work with the management team to design menus and seasonal specials

  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per Danish food regulations

  • Train and supervise kitchen assistants and helpers

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Indian cuisine

  • Proven skills in tandoor cooking and curry-making

  • Strong knowledge of Indian desserts

  • Culinary diploma/certification in Indian cooking (preferred)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

  • Good teamwork and communication skills

  • Proficiency in English (Danish is a plus, but not required)
