We are looking for a structured and business-oriented Application Owner to take responsibility for ABENA’s Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform – ABENA ID. This is your opportunity to shape how a wide range of users interact securely with our digital ecosystem across global markets. 

As Application Owner for CIAM, you will be the key driver behind the development, implementation and optimization of our new identity platform. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, i.e. team of Application Owners, external vendors, and security experts to ensure that ABENA ID supports our digital ambitions, complies with regulatory requirements, and delivers a seamless user experience.  Our organization is on a pivotal journey toward digital maturity, with digital solutions playing an increasingly vital role in driving efficiency, innovation, and long-term value. 

You will be part of the Digital Solutions team at ABENA Data, reporting to the Senior Manager for Customer-Facing Applications. The team is responsible for a growing portfolio of digital products and platforms, and you will play a central role in ensuring that user identity is a secure and scalable foundation for all of them. 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Own the CIAM platform (ABENA ID) end-to-end – from daily operations to long-term roadmap and vendor collaboration. 

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, NIS2, and other relevant regulations, and implement and review controls to protect customer data. 

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels to ensure performance, value, and alignment with business goals. 

  • Lead incident and risk management processes, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement. 

  • Drive platform development and optimization in collaboration with internal teams, application owners, and vendors. 

  • Maintain documentation, report progress to stakeholders, and ensure transparency in governance and decision-making. 

  • Support change management and adoption of new identity and access management processes across the organization.  

Success in this role means delivering a secure and reliable CIAM platform that supports business goals and user needs. You are able to navigate a fast-paced tech landscape with confidence and clarity—making timely decisions and driving improvements. Just as important is your ability to build trust and alignment across stakeholders, securing buy-in and turning collaboration into measurable results. 

What we hope you bring 

  • Experience with CIAM or IAM platforms and protocols (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML). 

  • Strong understanding of authentication, identity lifecycle management, and security best practices. 

  • Experience working with cloud-based identity solutions and customer-facing applications. 

  • A structured and proactive mindset with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. 

  • The ability to balance technical depth with business understanding and user-centric thinking. 

  • A relevant technical or IT-related education is an advantage, but experience is valued higher.

Our headquarters are in Aabenraa, with additional offices in Kolding.  
We support flexible work arrangements and expect limited travel (5–10 days per year).
