Mission
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair tasks for both onshore and offshore locations. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance duties to ensure the efficient and safe operation of facilities and equipment in both environments.
Main Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks for onshore and offshore facilities, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities, such as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly and efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Repair or replace damaged equipment, fixtures, and components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work, troubleshooting issues and resolving them as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency exits, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, completed tasks, and materials used.
- Coordinate and communicate with other team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
We imagine that you
- Either have a high school/ 10th grade diploma, a vocational education in trade (carpenter, mechanic etc.) or equivalent education.
- Have proven experience as a technician or similar role, preferably from a production- and or food producing environment.
- Have strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs.
- Are proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Are familiar with safety practices and regulations applicable to a food producing environment.
- Have the ability to interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Are an excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Have good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and contractors.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (A must).
