We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team at 
the charming Gershøj Kro, beautifully located by the Roskilde Fjord. If you love working with 
fresh ingredients, enjoy creating delicious seasonal dishes, and thrive in a team-oriented 
kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from you! 
About the Job: 
As our new Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the 
team to prepare high-quality meals for both à la carte service and events. You’ll be part of a 
welcoming workplace with a strong focus on teamwork, creativity, and guest satisfaction. 
Your responsibilities include: 
• Preparing ingredients and assisting in daily kitchen tasks 
• Ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation 
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organized according to hygiene standards 
• Supporting the Head Chef during busy service times 
• Contributing ideas for menus and specials 
We are looking for someone who: 
• Has experience working in a professional kitchen (experience in Danish cuisine is a 
plus) 
• Can work well under pressure and keep a positive attitude 
• Is reliable, motivated, and eager to learn 
• Can communicate in English (Danish is a plus but not required)
