The Hatzakis Lab, Department of Chemistry is looking for two part time academic officers as group managers/organizers from 01/01/2026.
About us The Hatzakis Lab group focuses on understanding on the molecular mechanisms that underlie and control vital cellular functions. The group consists of 30 people, among them Facility Manager, Assistant Professor, Postdoc, PhD student, Research Assistants, Master students, Bachelor students and Erasmus guest students.
Task Each one of you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations and providing organizational, and practical support to the Hatzakis lab group. The role includes tasks related to onboarding, office management, coordination, and event organization, contributing to a welcoming and well-functioning environment.
Onboarding and Guest application - Welcome and orient new students, visitors, and collaborators with relevant information
- Arrange campus tours, guest cards, keys, lab access, housing and provide practical guidance for living and working in Copenhagen
Office and Facility Management - Order and organize office, kitchen and cleaning supplies along with maintaining the kitchen area
- Coordinate quarterly lab cleanings, including wrapping/unwrapping laboratories.
Coordinater and Contact person - Arranging lab coat pick-up and return.
- Pick up and distribute fruit, milk, and other regular deliveries for the Hatzakis lab.
- Act as primary contact for reporting faults and keeping in contact with relevant staff.
Event Organization - Manage and prepare documentation such as guest contracts, HR requests, hiring forms, Erasmus documents, MTA and NDA agreements etc.
- Group and Event organization
- Maintain and update the group calendar
- Organize and arrange main and sub-group meetings
- Support the daily operation of the research group along with arranging social and academic events.
We expect - Related experience with job tasks, for example from other student jobs
- Good coordination, time-management and planning skills, as well as good communication with the group’s members
- Competency in Outlook, Microsoft
- Enrolled in a Master program at UCPH
Terms of salary and employment The employment and salary is made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
Employment will be as academic officer (forskningsfuldmægtig). The salary is based on seniority. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible. The working hours are 12 hours per week on average. The working hours are flexible. The position is for 6 months.
