About us We are a talented and diverse international team working at the forefront of quantum science, based in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. At the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen—where the foundations of quantum mechanics were laid a century ago—we are building the Novo Nordisk Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP), a world-leading initiative in quantum computing.
NQCP is driving research and innovation across the full quantum stack: from scalable quantum processor technologies, to advanced quantum-classical control and readout systems, and all the way to quantum algorithms and real-world applications.
The programme is working closely together with Quantum Foundry, a company established with focus on enabling QPU chip fabrication, assembly and packaging technologies. Our program mission is to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.
Tasks The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is seeking a versatile and motivated graphical designer and SOME expert to drive communication and marketing activities.
Your tasks will include:
Communications & Social Media
- Develop and publish engaging content across social media platforms to highlight NQCP activities and milestones.
- Draft articles, blogs, and short features showcasing NQCP's role in advancing quantum research and applications globally.
- Support campaign planning, website updates, and multimedia content creation.
Outreach & Global Engagement
- Contribute quickly, creatively, and at short notice, to preparation of speeches, presentations, and outreach materials for global events.
- Help coordinate NQCP's visibility in international initiatives, strengthening its profile as a global quantum leader.
- Contribute with practical coordination and organization of bigger events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in communications, graphical design or equivalent.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across governmental, technical, and public audiences.
- Experience with social media management and communications in a research, innovation, or a technology environment.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be a self-starter, have a positive attitude, and be supportive of time critical needs.
We offer A central position where you will be an essential part of realising the mission of NQCP – an ambitious quantum programme at the historic Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen.
You will work across various research and engineering teams, and you will also interface with our partners as well as with the broader quantum ecosystem.

Terms of salary and employment The employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
Employment will be as an academic employee or special consultant. The salary is based on seniority and negotiation for salary supplement is possible. The working hours are 37 hours per week on average, and the working hours are flexible.
The position is limited to 31 December 2029, and the appointment will be subject to receipt of a security clearance.
