Core responsibilities

• Installation: Laying conduit, pulling and connecting wires, and installing fixtures, switches, and electrical control panels.

• Maintenance and repair: Inspecting and maintaining existing electrical systems, replacing faulty wiring or equipment, and responding to service calls for repairs.

• Troubleshooting and diagnosis: Using test instruments to identify and diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions.

• Safety and compliance: Ensuring all installations and repairs meet the National Electrical Code, state, and local safety regulations.

• Planning: Examining blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine the best method for installation or repair.
