Architect / Interior Architect
Space Copenhagen is seeking an experienced Architect / Interior Architect to join our studio in Copenhagen.
We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in hospitality projects — including restaurants, bars, hotels, and related commercial environments — and a strong design sensibility combined with the ability to carry projects through all phases, from concept development to construction completion.
Our studio consists of 10–12 team members, and our projects vary in scale and complexity, both in Denmark and internationally. Hospitality design forms a core part of our practice, and we are looking for someone who understands the demands, workflows, and detailing standards of this sector.
The Role:
You will work closely with directors and senior designers to deliver hospitality projects from concept to completion. The role requires both creative and technical strength, with a clear understanding of how hospitality environments are developed and realized.
Key responsibilities include:
Contributing to projects across all phases: Concept design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Producing accurate design intent and technical drawings, including FF&E packages
Preparing client presentations in InDesign, including visuals, drawings, and supporting material
Developing detailed specifications and coordinating drawings for clients, consultants, and suppliers
Participating actively in the detailed design development and on-site implementation process
Sourcing furniture, lighting, materials, fixtures, and finishes appropriate for hospitality environments
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture/Design
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience in hospitality projects (required)
Experience working through all project stages within hospitality design
Strong conceptual design skills combined with technical proficiency
Fluency in English (written and spoken); Danish and/or additional languages are an advantage
Professional Experience:
Ability to work at a high level of design awareness and detail
Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary design teams
Preparation of comprehensive drawing packages, including detailed plans, sections, elevations, and FF&E documentation
Development of mood boards and material presentations for client approval
Knowledge of current materials, suppliers, and developments relevant to hospitality design
Understanding of coordination between design intent and site execution
Technical Skills:
Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software)
Experience with Rhino
Please send your CV, portfolio (including hospitality projects), and a brief cover letter to job@spacecph.dk.
We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and will close the position once we have found the right candidate.
