The DIS Custom Programs Department is seeking an enthusiastic addition to our dynamic international team. In close cooperation with the DIS Academic Program Directors, the Study Tour & Custom Program Coordinator’s main task is to plan, book and execute academically and logistically solid study tour and custom program itineraries for students. As a Custom Program Coordinator, you should expect to have daily contact with faculty, staff, and students as well as to perform a wide variety of ad hoc administrative tasks. You should also be able and willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and Danish public holidays.
DIS is a high quality academic study abroad program for American undergraduate students based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. DIS collaborates with partner universities and their faculty to create tailor-made customized programs. The position is a full time entry-level position and the Custom Programs Coordinator will report to the Manager of Custom Programs.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Coordinate logistics to ensure a successful custom programs.
Cooperate closely with academic programs in the planning of the custom programs.
In cooperation with the academic programs (academic component) and the study tours logistics (flights and hotels), book social and cultural components of study tours.
Prepare study tour leader / faculty materials and logistical information for the execution of study tours and custom programs.
Administrative tasks including contact with faculty, staff, and students regarding logistical-, payment-, and other service-related questions and issues.
Chaperoning and assisting faculty on custom program field studies
Professional & personal competences
Fluency in English is a requirement.
