The Department of Economics,
Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), invites excellent candidates for an Assistant Professorship in Environmental and Climate Economics.
The position is a 4-year position, commencing 1 November 2025 or after agreement.

The assistant professor is expected to make active contributions to advancing the research and teaching environment.
Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the post include contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the University of Copenhagen by conducting world-class research and teaching. An associate professor also has administrative responsibilities.
General duties attached to the position of Assistant Professor in Environmental and Climate Economics are:
- Research within the field of Environmental and Climate Economics.
- Teaching, supervision, and examination of undergraduate and post-graduate students.
- Administrative tasks.
- Knowledge sharing with the rest of society.
- Research and teaching management.
- Raising external research grants.
Your Competencies and Opportunities Applicants for the position are expected to have experience in teaching Environmental and Climate Economics, as well as experience in knowledge sharing with the broader society. Experience with the construction of computable general equilibrium environmental-economic models is required for this position, and applicants must be willing to participate in model-based research on the economic, environmental and climate effects of the Danish Tripartite Agreement.

A successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as an aptitude for working collaboratively with colleagues in planning and delivering teaching, conducting research projects, and fulfilling administrative duties.
Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate a commitment to student learning, supporting student welfare, and enhancing student experience.
