As Training & Compliance Manager at VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, you will become a key part of the Service Excellence division at our headquarters in Esbjerg. Our mission is to ensure that our global service units operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance – and you will play a vital role by managing three training centers located in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Greece.
In this role, you will be responsible for turning plans into action – from daily operations and budget management to planning and developing training activities. You will work closely with instructors, service managers, QHSE profiles, and technicians, ensuring that training is delivered at the highest possible standard.
Another important part of your job will be within inspections and compliance. You will be overall responsible for planning end carrying out inspections at VIKING’s own and partner service stations worldwide, making sure that we comply with international and national standards such as IMO, Class, Flag, and HSEQ. You will also manage compliance documentation and ensure that we consistently deliver on our promises.
You will contribute to ongoing improvements by applying lean principles across our service operations. With your eye for optimization and structure, you will help us ensure effective operations while supporting continuous development.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role your key responsibilities include:
As part of the role, there will be regular travel activity, and you should expect approximately 30-50 travel days per year to our training centers and global service stations.
You will be joining a newly established department that supports a global network of service units. The department has a strong focus on safety, compliance, operational excellence and digitalization of processes – and you will have the opportunity to influence both the content and the way we work from the very beginning.
Your profile
We expect you to bring solid experience within QHSE, service, inspection, operational excellence or training. You are a senior, self-driven professional who thrives when taking responsibility for both details and overall processes. Experience with budgets, facility operations, and process optimization is an advantage.
You will work closely with other departments and colleagues, therefore you are great at communication and working across the organization.
