We are now looking for an experienced and people-oriented HR Manager to lead our HR function at our headquarters in Esbjerg. Reporting directly to the SVP People & Organization, you will play a key role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals and ensuring that our people, culture, and operations continue to thrive.

You will have overall responsibility for the HR operation, Reception, and Canteen at our Esbjerg headquarters, a total of 10 employees ensuring professional support, and service, across all areas.

This is what you will be doing:

HR Administration: You will align HR initiatives with business goals and implement HR policies, systems, and processes that strengthen organizational capability and engagement. You will oversee all aspects of HR administration including employment contracts, compliance, and reporting and ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees in Denmark.

Recruitment & Onboarding: You will be responsible for driving a professional recruitment process in close collaboration with managers from identifying needs and defining job profiles to selecting and onboarding new colleagues. Strengthening VIKING’s employer brand will be a natural part of your work, including initiatives such as Young VIKING and maintaining our talent pipeline for future growth.

HR Partnering: As a key HR partner, you will act as a trusted partner for managers in Denmark. You will advise managers on people development, performance management, and employee relations. You will lead initiatives and processes connected to our annual Leadership wheel such as salary and bonus reviews, engagement surveys, and performance appraisals. You will also support organizational development and change initiatives, helping leaders navigate transformation while maintaining a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and employee well-being.

Your profile

You are an experienced HR professional with a strong mix of tactical and operational execution. Your education is not important, however it is expected that you bring at least 5 years of experience from a similar role and ideally in an international company.

You have solid knowledge of Danish employment law and HR processes, and experience leading a team. You are structured, proactive, and able to translate HR strategies into concrete actions that make a difference. You communicate clearly, build trust across all levels of the organization, and are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.
