Copenhagen Business School invites applications for one or more vacant teaching assistant professor(s) at the Department of Accounting.

The Department of Accounting covers research and teaching within the fields of (1) financial accounting, (2) management accounting and control, (3) auditing and (4) corporate governance. The department’s scope encompasses both the private sector, ranging from small, privately held (non-listed) companies to large, publicly listed firms, and the public sector.

The department's teaching responsibilities encompass undergraduate and graduate instruction in the aforementioned research fields.

The position of teaching assistant professor is educational. The employment may be either full-time or part-time. Teaching assistant professors must complete a university pedagogical program at CBS.

The employment period is 6 years. No later than six months before the end of the sixth year of employment, a written assessment must be provided of the teaching assistant professor’s qualifications for the purpose of evaluating whether the teaching assistant professor has acquired the qualifications necessary to teach at the level of teaching associate professor. This evaluation includes the teaching assistant professor’s completion of a university pedagogical programme. If the employee is evaluated and found to be academically qualified at the level of teaching associate professor, the person transfers to this position. If the employee is evaluated and found not to be academically qualified, the teaching assistant professor leaves his or her position without further notice at the end of the period. Responsibilities
The positions involve teaching and similar tasks. The positions may also involve academic development tasks.

Qualification
  1. Advanced degree in a relevant academic field (at least a master's degree and preferably a PhD degree).
  2. It will be an advantage if the applicant has pedagogical experience with teaching and guidance.
  3. Proficiency in both Danish and English is required as the teaching must be conducted in both Danish and English.

Terms of employment
Salary, pension and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

Recruitment procedure
The Recruitment Committee will shortlist a minimum of two applicants; when possible, five or more applicants will be shortlisted.
