About the Job

As a student engineer or intern, you’ll join our hardware team, which ensures that systems work in practice and are continuously updated with new components. In close collaboration with software development, customer support, and quality assurance, you’ll help find the best solutions and contribute to ongoing updates of our systems. The work will primarily take place physically at Unicontrol’s office.

You’ll take on a role focused on mechanical solutions, ranging from developing new systems to installation design and quality work. Your role is to ensure we have intuitive, user-friendly solutions with clear descriptions of how components such as sensors, controllers, and cables are mounted into a complete system.

Your Primary Tasks Will Include:

• Designing, testing, and documenting integrations
• Adapting system designs in 2D/3D using Fusion 360
• Troubleshooting in relation to service and complaints
• Helping define and maintain installation and system design as well as quality standards
• Participating in projects with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
• Writing concise technical reports on system component testing

Your Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who works in a structured way and thrives with hands-on tasks. You solve problems using your technical skills and apply your engineering background to bring structure and seek new knowledge from suppliers.

Since we work with standard hardware components, you should be motivated to develop solutions that fit with the components we source, and to gather the necessary information from our suppliers. You’re the type who makes things work and is driven by keeping everything simple and to the point. You probably see the solution before it’s built and work efficiently, while also enjoying having fun during the workday.

You’re a good colleague who communicates clearly with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.

Key Qualifications:

• You’re currently studying engineering in mechanics, product development, or mechatronics
• A background as a technician, designer, mechanic, or similar is a plus
• Familiarity with small 2D/3D construction drawings in CAD
• Experience in hardware development/mechanical design
• Experience with troubleshooting and making systems work
• Preferably experience working with colleagues, customers, and/or suppliers
• Technical-level English
