Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) is now hiring a student for the HALO-trial, a large randomized controlled trial testing high, medium and low intensity psychotherapies for Binge Eating Disorder at Mental Health Center Ballerup. CEDaR You will join a large diverse and multidisciplinary group, comprised of Head of the unit Professor Nadia Micali and 28 staff members. Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark, and you will meet a group of very committed colleagues. HALO-trial The HALO trial deliver 4 different types and modes of psychotherapy from 2024-2026. The trial team consists of a senior researcher, 1-2 PostDocs, 2 PhD students, a research assistant, 3 masters students, clinicians and is led by the unit head Professor Nadia Micali.
The position Your tasks will be as follows, but not limited to this.
- Booking meetings and writing minutes, assisting with meetings preparation in general
- Practical ad hoc tasks in the daily running of the unit
- Handling bookings, rebookings and cancellations in the morning hours
- Preparing materials for recruitment, meetings and therapy
- Research assistance
- Potential to, Carry out assessments in the trial (if the candidate is a psychology student)
- Potential to, Deliver guided internet-based therapy (if the candidate is a psychology student)
- Entering data into redcap database
- Transcriptions
About us The Eating Disorders Research unit is currently comprised of 8 staff members (administrator, senior researcher, postdoc, PhD Student, research nurse, clinical researcher, research coordinator).
Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.
Qualifications The ideal candidate is:
- Interested in eating disorders and research
- Excellent in their communication skills in both English and Danish
- Able to work independently and structured to support and coordinate projects and events
- Has good IT skills
- Organized
- A collaborative and flexible attitude to the diverse tasks of both practical, administrative, and academic work
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
Conditions The weekly working hours will be agreed upon with the candidate.

About the Mental Health Center Ballerup Mental Health Center Ballerup is a part of Copenhagen University Hospital and one of nine departments, that provide treatment for mental disorders in the Capital Region of Denmark. The department consists of ten inpatient wards comprising 157 beds, nine outpatient clinics with several specialized functions and three research groups. We employ around 90 medical doctors and 80 psychologists in addition to nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and technical and administrative staff.
