Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
The student assistant will support the research team in a variety of tasks, including attending and taking part in project meetings. As the project is conducted in English, the student must be fully comfortable communicating in English, both orally and in writing; knowledge of Danish is a plus but not required. The main responsibilities involve project communication, management of social media channels, web publishing, and preparation of dissemination materials, where skills in layout, publishing software, and content creation (e.g., Photoshop, CMS, video, podcasting) are highly valued. The student will also assist in workshops, sometimes on-site, and help produce professional materials for museum exhibitions, such as posters and information cards. Additional tasks may include supporting digital data collection (e.g., netnography) or qualitative elicitation methods. The ideal candidate is independent, proactive, and capable of liaising with researchers to gather necessary information and carry out assigned tasks efficiently.
DIEM - Digital Entertainment Machine is a research project that explores how ordinary people use digital entertainment in their daily lives. The project is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF), it runs from 2023-2026 and is led by Professor Susana Tosca (stosca@sdu.dk).
Please note, the selected candidate must be enrolled as student at SDU.
Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).
