Department of Computer Science at Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen is looking for Student Ambassadors with effect from 1 December 2025 or soon thereafter.
  About us Department of Computer Science at University of Copenhagen (DIKU) is the first computer science department in Denmark, established by Peter Naur in 1970. Since then, our researchers and graduates have formed the basis for society’s accelerating technological transformation, and our research environment and results have made us one of Europe’s leading and most attractive computer science departments.  
About the position As our student ambassador, you will be the first point of contact between the new MSc students and the academic and social environment at DIKU. You will welcome the students to the department and plan interesting and engaging social activities throughout the first study year. You will also become the natural link between the first- and second-year master’s degree students, creating a more cohesive and coherent student environment.  
Your task will include   	- Plan and carry out the yearly Cabin Trip.
- Plan one or more social activities free of choice, such as an MSc dinner or Sports Day and carry out the planned activities.
- Inform the new MSc students about important academic and social environments and events, including but not limited to Study Events, student clubs and associations, DIKU Galla, DIKU Revy, Christmas celebrations, etc.
- Inform the new students about our Code of Conduct and the principles of Inclusive DIKU.
We are looking for 	- 2nd year MSc students at the Department of Computer Science, who are passionate about creating a thriving student environment, which includes safe and inspiring spaces for International and Danish students alike.
- It is not a requirement to have previous experience within this field; however, volunteer or paid work in the areas of study start, study environment and/or social student environments are regarded as strong attributes for your candidacy.

Terms of salary and employment The employment is made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement for Student Teachers at universities between the Danish Ministry of Finance and The National Union of Student-workers (SUL) and FADL.
  You will be employed as a Student Adviser (Studenterstudievejleder). The working hours are 1-2 hours per week on average.
