Position as postdoctoral researcher within epidemiology and biomarkers in infections and cardiometabolic diseases at the Department of Clinical Immunology, Zealand University Hospital, Zealand Region
We have a vacant position as postdoctoral researcher from 2026-01-01 (or when available) to conduct a two-year scientific study within epidemiology and biomarkers for infections and cardiometabolic diseases. The position is temporary and runs for 24 months. The position is 37 hours per week, with work hours between 08:00 – 15:24 on weekdays. However, the research project can also require that you work on evenings/weekends.
The position is at the Department of Clinical Immunology in Næstved. However, in 2026 we will move the department to Køge. The aim of the research project is to determine the importance of biomarkers and epidemiological risk factors for infections, chronic inflammation and cardio-metabolic diseases. The study is conducted in close collaboration with Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Copenhagen University.
The postdoctoral researcher shall run the project, arrange international collaborations for metaanalyses, perform the analyses, and present the results at conferences and in scientific publications. The postdoctoral researcher will collaborate with other researchers within the research group at the Department of Clinical Immunology, Zealand University Hospital as well as in our research network. In addition, the postdoctoral researcher is expected to support and supervise younger researchers, establish his/her own research area, and contribute to the department’s research strategy.
