We are looking for a committed, sociable and organized colleague for a 1-year position as a research assistant in an innovation research project, starting September 1., 2025 at the Research Unit, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center, Mental Health Services - Capital Region of Denmark.
About the research project This project is a collaboration between the Capital Region of Denmark and InterhumanAI (a start-up company). We aim to develop and test a training app for parents of children with difficult emotions and challenging behaviors founded on evidence-based treatments.
The app utilizes affective computing and large language model technology to deliver real-time, personalized training and feedback. We are using participatory design, engaging clinicians, and parents in the creation of design and content of the app. The first phase of the project is underway and involves up to 18 parents and 18 professionals in interviews and focus groups.
The second phase of the project will start after the summer in 2025. It entails an open trial, for which we will recruit 35 children (6-17 years of age) with an emotional or behavioral problem and one of their parents.
- Data management and cleaning
- Preparing test battery in electronic data capture system (RedCap)
- Test app as a user
- Support administrative tasks related to reporting and approvals
- Recruiting participants
- Collecting data (qualitative interviews, experiments)
- Assisting with data analysis
- Support writing of study protocols and scientific papers

What we offer If hired, you will become a part of an interdisciplinary research team engaged in innovative projects within child and adolescent psychiatry. You will receive on-the-job training within clinical research. The team leader and principal investigator, Nicole Lønfeldt is an associate professor at the Department of Psychology and Center for Social Data Science at the University of Copenhagen.
Salary and employment conditions Employment: 37 hours/week starting September 1., 2025.
The position is limited to 1 year.
You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement.
