The Architecture and Urban Design Section at the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology is seeking a Research Assistant in Architecture. This is a fixed-term position for 1½ years, starting February 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology (CREATE/AAU) has as its goal the development of an innovative cluster of engineering-based environments for education and research which integrate creativity, engineering and technology within the disciplines of architecture, urban design, industrial design, digital design and interactive media. The department is a leading research and educational environment in Denmark that addresses the challenge of the interplay between creativity and technology and develops new areas in research and education directed towards the end-user.

Your work task
The position includes both research and teaching obligations. In close collaboration with relevant colleagues the research assistant will be involved in selected research projects, and will take part in various teaching and supervision tasks, primarily within the bachelor’s program in Architecture and Design, as well as in the Architecture Master program.

Your competencies
We are looking for a candidate with an academic degree in architecture, preferably with relevant research and teaching experience. The candidate should have strong collaboration skills, the ability to work independently and systematically, and be motivated to engage in a dynamic research and teaching environment.
It is an advantage if the candidate is proficient in both written and spoken Danish and English.

Qualification requirements 
Appointment as a research assistant requires academic qualifications at master's degree level.
