Position Type: Full-Time (37 hours per week)

About the Role

In close cooperation with the Executive Housekeeping Manager, the Quality Control Manager ensures that the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are consistently achieved across all areas of Guldsmeden Hotels. You will play a key role in maintaining the brand’s reputation for excellence by overseeing cleaning operations, ensuring adherence to standards, and supporting the housekeeping team through training and performance feedback.

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering top-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and evaluations of cleanliness and maintenance standards in guest rooms, restaurants, conference rooms, gardens, spa, sauna, pool, and all common areas.

  • Follow up on the deep cleaning plan — track ongoing, completed, and upcoming projects, and report progress to the Executive Housekeeping Manager.

  • Identify reoccurring cleaning or maintenance issues, document corrective measures, and ensure long-term improvements are implemented.

  • Work closely with housekeeping managers to conduct room inspections, provide feedback, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor and update Trello boards, ensuring that all completed tasks are verified through random inspections.

  • Participate in the training, evaluation, and motivation of housekeeping staff to uphold high cleanliness standards and operational efficiency.

  • Support and assist housekeeping managers and supervisors during peak times, ensuring all cleaning operations run smoothly.

  • Cover for housekeeping managers during holidays, sickness, or absence, maintaining continuity of operations.

  • Ensure all work is performed according to company standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar quality control or supervisory housekeeping role within the hospitality industry.

  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members effectively.

  • Proficient in using digital tools such as Trello, Excel, or similar task management systems.

  • Flexible, reliable, and capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning standards and sustainability practices is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English.
