The Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University is looking for a motivated and structured Project Manager to join our dynamic team for a 2-year period. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support key research projects within agroecology, collaborating with a range of national and international partners. Responsibilities


As Project Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of our strategic research projects. Your key tasks will include:
  • Organizing project meetings, workshops, and events to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange, including follow-up actions.
  • Managing partnerships with national and international stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Handling reporting requirements to funders such as the European Union (EU) and private foundations, ensuring all deadlines and standards are met.
  • Overseeing project deliveries and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources and value for money. Setting up processes for quality assurance and governance to monitor project progress.
  • Supporting the Principal Investigator and research team with other administrative tasks and coordination.



Qualifications


We welcome applications from both experienced candidates and recent graduates. No prior experience is required, but the following skills and attributes are desirable:
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work methodically and efficiently
  • Service-oriented mindset, with the ability to provide support and manage relationships in a professional manner
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Danish and English
  • Experience in project management, event organisation, and administration
  • Familiarity with EU or other reporting requirements would be nice, otherwise training will be provided.

The place of work is Campus Viborg, Blichers Allé 20, 8830 Tjele, Aarhus University, Denmark. The affiliation will be with the Department of Agroecology and you would be anchored in the Secretariat and have Project Manager colleagues.

We expect job start April 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
