If you are looking to contribute to the decarbonization of maritime shipping, this might be an ideal project and position for you. At DTU Chemical Engineering, as part of the SEAFAIRER (Horizon Europe Innovation Action) project team, you will support breakthrough innovation at the forefront of advanced biofuel technologies.

You will be part of the SEAFAIRER project team at DTU Chemical Engineering, where you will have the opportunity to work on a €10 million Horizon Europe-funded project at the forefront of advanced biofuel technologies. You will work with the coordination team, supporting project management, reporting duties, as well as the project´s communication and outreach activities across different platforms. 

The job
As a project assistant, you will be involved in:

  • Supporting the preparation of deliverables and milestones for a large EU-funded project
  • Helping organize consortium meetings and streamline monthly communication with the different project partners
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of researchers and industry partners
  • Helping in preparing internal and external communications related to project activities, including write-up of communication and dissemination materials for the project
  • Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, as well as meeting minutes ensuring high standards of accuracy and presentation.

Our expectations of you
To qualify for this job, you:

  • Have a BSc. and are preferably underway with your MSc. in Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields
  • Can communicate at a high level in written and spoken English
  • Approach both large and small tasks with a focus on delivering quality
  • Have a proactive, team-oriented attitude

We also appreciate some of the following competencies:

  • Good at written communication in foreign languages, such as German and/or Spanish,
  • Knowledge of biofuel technologies, the maritime sector or decarbonization initiatives
  • Ability to multitask effectively and manage shifting priorities
  • Take a strong interest in sustainability, climate action, or the green transition

You must have a three-year bachelor's degree (180 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a three-year bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or related fields.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

Working hours are on average 10 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 15 May 2025 (or according to mutual agreement). 

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
