We are seeking an experienced, caring, and collaborative Pre-K Homeroom Teacher to provide maternity leave cover in our Early Years section. In the PYP, learning happens through play, inquiry, and exploration in developmentally appropriate, safe, and joyful environments. You will work closely with an Early Years Pedagogue, the Early Years Team, and the After School Care Programme (ASCP) to support whole-child development—social-emotional, physical, and cognitive.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and reflect on play-based, inquiry-driven learning aligned with the PYP framework.

• Create a safe, nurturing classroom climate that promotes the IB Learner Profile, ATL skills, and student voice/choice.

• Differentiate for multilingual learners and diverse needs; remove barriers to learning using inclusive/UDL practices.

• Use assessment for/as/of learning to inform next steps and communicate progress to families.

• Collaborate within grade-level and Early Years teams for coherent planning and documentation.

• Build strong home–school partnerships through clear, professional communication.

• Contribute to duties and Early Years/whole-school events as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised Early Years/Primary teaching qualification

• At least 2 years of successful Early Years teaching experience, ideally within an IB PYP context.

• Proven practice with inquiry-based, play-based pedagogy and effective classroom routines.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
