Postdoctoral Fellowship in Astroparticle Physics
  • KU - SCIENCE - NBI, Jagtvej 155A
  • Jagtvej 155A, 2200 Kbh. N
The Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) invites applications for one postdoctoral fellowship in astroparticle physics. The appointment is for a period of two years, starting in Fall 2026, and can be extended by one year subject to performance.

Astroparticle physics at NBI is highly interdisciplinary, connecting observers, phenomenologists, and theorists. The successful applicant is expected to conduct research in multi-messenger astrophysics with a focus on high-energy neutrino emission and its observation in present and future neutrino telescopes. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong analytical skills, who have previous experience in the modelling of high-energy neutrino sources and the statistical analysis of multi-messenger data. A close collaboration with the NBI IceCube group (https://nbi.ku.dk/english/research/experimental-particle-physics/icecube/) is also expected. The successful candidate will be based in the subatomic physics section at NBI hosting Danish activities in neutrino astronomy (IceCube) and collider physics (ALICE, ATLAS, FCC & SHiP).

The postdoc’s duties will include research within astroparticle physics as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
