Applications are invited for two postdoc positions with SDU Health Informatics and Technology (HIT), The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute (MMMI), University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Odense. Both positions are for 2 years with the possibility of extension depending on possible additional funding. The positions will be part of two externally funded projects, WISDOM and CHOICE. The planned starting date for the positions is January 15, 2026, or soon thereafter.
Research projects
WISDOM (funded by Horizon Europe; 2023-2028) is led by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and has partners from 10 different European countries. SDU HITs role in WISDOM is development and implementation of responsible state-of-the-art artificial intelligence mediated models and decision support systems for chronic immune-mediated diseases (in particular, multiple sclerosis). (https://wisdomhorizon.eu/).
CHOICE (funded by NordForsk; 2025-2029) is led by Odense University Hospital in Denmark and has partners in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. SDU HITs role in CHOICE is adaptation and implementation of responsible state-of-the-art artificial intelligence mediated models and decision support systems for identification of people at risk of osteoporosis. (https://www.nordforsk.org/projects/continuous-healthcare-osteoporosis-case-finding-choice).
Postdoc positions
Both postdoc positions will focus on development and implementation of AI-based decision support in clinical practice using a co-design methodology.
In relation to WISDOM, the goal is to develop and evaluate a demonstrator (TRL 5-6) that supports selected use cases related to shared decision making by patients and health care professionals in multiple sclerosis management.
In relation to CHOICE, the goal is to develop and evaluate a decision support system (TRL 8-9) that is integrated with the general practitioner´s electronic health record system XMO from CompuGroup Medical.
Both postdoc positions will contribute to each project and will require close collaboration between the selected candidates as well as project members from WISDOM and CHOICE.
