The Danish Institute for IT Program Management at the IT University of Copenhagen offers one or more Postdoctoral Research Fellowships for a two-year duration, with a possible extension. The proposed starting date is 1 October 2025, or as soon as possible.

DIIP´s main areas of research are IT projects and IT program management. Applicants are not required to have research experience in these fields. Candidates with backgrounds in statistics, economics, business administration, geography, biology, engineering, physics, or similar fields are encouraged to apply.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for both their own research and publications and support of other research activities within DIIP, predominantly those of VKR Professor Bent Flyvbjerg.

Requirements
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD degree.
  • Experience with quantitative research.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • One or more high-quality publications in well-cited journals.
Job description
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow’s main tasks will be research and writing aimed at publication in leading journals or university press. Data collection (supported by research assistants) and data analyses (supported by statisticians) will be part of the job.

Salary
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
