PMO Senior Manager for Nordic Project Support at the Heart of the Nordic Green Transformation
  • Nordic RCC A/S
  • Ørestads Boulevard 114, 2300 København S

Are you eager to make a difference in the Green Transformation in the Nordics and in Europe, working towards a fully carbon neutral, sustainable energy system? Do you enjoy working in a diverse and international PMO team balancing many stakeholders, heading a team of 15-20 employees and consultants, supporting the Nordic TSOs in collaboration with Nordic RCC? Then you may be just the person we are looking for.

Nordic RCC – supporting security of supply and the Green Transition

Nordic RCC A/S is the Nordic Regional Coordination Center and a significant contributor to the green transition. As the provider of regional power system capacity planning and security analysis, Nordic RCC supports the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. This is to ensure the efficient operation of the Nordic Power System with a high security of power supply at any time. As such, Nordic RCC plays a vital part of the green transition in the Nordics.

Based in Copenhagen, Nordic RCC embodies a strong Nordic collaboration across the Nordics TSOs (Energinet, Statnett, Fingrid and Svenska Kraftnät) and other European Regional Coordination Centers. In this collaboration, we empower the energy market in the Nordics and in Europe, as well as assist the TSOs in maintaining a reliable power supply now and in the future.

Nordic RCC contributes to safe operation of the Nordic power system and to optimize the power market. A key aim of the services provided by Nordic RCC is to ensure transparency and to help the TSOs with operational planning. In doing so, we ensure continued security of supply with an increase of renewables in the energy system and become an essential driver of the Nordic Green Transformation and electrification in close collaboration with the Nordic TSOs.

·       Work closely with senior project managers to monitor progress, assess risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

·       Support best practices in project and program management, and drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

·       Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project and program management teams.

·       Drive the procurement process in collaboration with Legal, IT and HR, incl. onboarding the required consultants in collaboration with stakeholders.

·       Support and manage budgets for consultants incl. cost control, both in forecast, budget and long-term planning.

Qualifications:

On a personal level you demonstrate a strong sense of empathy. You listen actively, understand the perspectives of others and strive to create a positive environment in your team. You foster a sense of confidence in your decision making and are comfortable taking responsibility and navigating challenges. You have an open-door policy and encourage your team members to share thoughts, concerns or ideas freely. Integrity is a cornerstone of your character. You are guided by strong ethical principles in both professional and personal interactions.

The position is conditioned upon a satisfactory background check as well as a national security clearance, both of which will be facilitated by Nordic RCC. You can read more on security clearance here. Please also note that the process includes that any spouse, registered partner, cohabitant, steady partner, co-resident, child over 18 living at home and parent with the same address as the candidate must also consent to be examined.

Nordic RCC context

Nordic RCC is established by EU regulation. Our main task is not to identify new profit optimizing services, but to continuously develop services according to legal requirements in a way which adds value to our service recipients (TSOs) and, in the end, to Nordic societies.

This makes the environment that Nordic RCC works in complex, but also highly motivating and engaging, as we are all generally focused on value creation for society in a time where electricity is in focus (security of supply, prices, and energy transition).

We are looking for a candidate who is motivated by this. The candidate is not expected to grasp the complexity and the content of the core business in advance. This understanding will develop over time, and depending on the wishes of the candidate, there will be opportunities for training in the energy systems, markets, etc.

An international and flexible working environment

You will join an organization of competent, diverse, and enthusiastic colleagues of 24 nationalities. You will also be working in virtual teams with expert colleagues from the Nordic TSOs, and potentially from all over Europe.

Your daily workplace will be in our newly furnished office premises in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad. We are offering workplace flexibility to ensure a healthy work-life balance including the possibility of working from home some of your worktime.

Our values of fellowship, curiosity, respect, and transparency have been defined by all employees. They identify how we behave and shape the way we work together, and we expect you to see yourself in them.

Application deadline and contact information

Please apply online as soon as possible (in English) and no later than 1. November 2025. We will conduct interviews on a continuous basis.
