The IT University of Copenhagen invites highly motivated individuals to apply for a Part-time lecturer position starting 1 January 2026 or soon thereafter.

IT University of Copenhagen seeks a part-time lecturer to teach the course ‘Programming Mobile Applications' in the MSc in Digital Design and Interactive Technologies. The part-time lecturer is expected to develop and manage the course lectures and exercises as main responsible and to assess and grade the exam hand-ins.

‘Programming Mobile Applications’ is a 7.5 ECTS course that runs once a week, for 14 weeks on the 2nd semester of the K-DDIT program and has over 100 enrolled students. The course requires the students to design and develop interactive applications, using industry standards and design-oriented environments such as Figma. Programming instruction is expected to be at an entry level or slightly above.

As the course is taught to a large cohort, the teacher is expected to handle diversity in programming skill and design ability among students. The class is supported by 4 teaching assistants. The course can be taught in English or Danish.

Salary and terms of employment
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Taxation’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and job structure for academic staff at universities.


Qualification Requirements
The following qualifications are required:

  • Candidates should have a MSc (or equivalent) within a relevant field
And at least one of the following qualifications

  • Relevant high-level practical experience not obtained through a university, scientific employment
  • Employment in a main scientific position at another university
Moreover, the ideal candidate should:

  • Document experience with teaching, preferably at university level, (including course design and development of teaching materials) in a related topic
  • Have proven experience of working in the industry and/or the public sector with course-related topics

The applicant will be accessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 13 March 2012.

The IT University may use shortlisting in connection to the recruitment process. In case of shortlisting, the Chair of the hiring committee selects applicants for assessment in consultation with the hiring committee after the application deadline. All applicants are notified whether their application has been passed for assessment. The shortlisting of candidates for assessment is based on the criteria in the job posting.
