At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, a position as Part-time lecturer in human and animal physiology is open for appointment from 01.11 2025 or soon hereafter.
Your work tasks
The Part-time lecturer is primarily responsible for planning and conducting teaching activities, including giving lectures, exercises, and examinations. In addition, the external lecturer may serve as a project supervisor, project examiner, and internal censor to an extent that is agreed upon. The teaching will primarily be within human and animal physiology.
Your Competencies
You should hold a master's degree, in physiology, veterinary science, biology or similar and have experience in teaching university students, preferentially in areas of human and animal physiology. You should master theoretical lectures and exercises as well as practical exercises including dissection of animals. We prefer candidates who can also handle live animals. You must either be fluent in Danish or have good oral and written English skills.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as a part-time lecturer requires academic qualifications at master’s degree level.
Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been achieved through an academic appointment at a university or employment in an principal academic position at another university. When employed due to relevant practical experience, you must have in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the subject/subject's applications that has been gained or will be gained through employment in the profession. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.
