A position as part-time lecturer (ekstern lektor) in Finance is available at the Department of Finance with start this summer or September.
The Department carries out research and teaching in a wide range of topics in finance, including corporate finance, asset pricing, risk management and insurance, financial institutions and financial markets, international finance, behavioral finance, household finance and corporate governance.
As part-time lecturer you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to educate young people.
The position is on a temporary basis, but can be prolonged within the framework of the Danish Fixed-Term Employment Act.
The position includes * Planning and conducting teaching in finance classes at the International Summer University Programme at CBS
* Preparing teaching materials and exam questions
* Conducting exams and other evaluations
QualificationsTo fill this position, you are required to have a master’s degree and must have:
* Relevant practical experience which has not been gained through academic employment within a university, or
* Employment in an academic principal position with another university (e.g. as assistant professor/researcher, associate professor/senior researcher, or professor/professor with special responsibilities)
* Proficiency in English as the teaching must be conducted in English
A part-time lecturer who is employed on the merits of his or her relevant practical experience must possess in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the possible applications of the subject/academic discipline. This knowledge is/has been acquired through employment within the subject/academic discipline.
Employment as part-time lecturer presupposes that teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a parttime-lecturer.
Terms of employmentThe appointment will be in accordance with the circular on hourly-paid teaching under the Ministry of Finance. The hours of work can vary according to needs in the individual semesters to a maximum of 780 hours per academic year. The new employee must be willing to take a pedagogical course arranged by CBS (only if the employee is not able to document participation in pedagogical courses or experience during the first year of employment) and participate in lecturer meetings.
