On behalf of Unifeeder, MARPRO Group is looking for an Operations Coordinator to Network & Operations department.

Unifeeder, a worldwide company headquartered in Aarhus, is a rapidly developing provider of the best-connected feeder and shortsea network in Europe. As Operations Coordinator, you will be coordinating port- and terminal calls of the approx. 40 vessels Unifeeder operates in Northern Europe. You will be a part of a team of 4-5 people, working closely together with our offices in Copenhagen, Gdynia and Hamburg as well as other teams in Network & Operations in Aarhus.

The work environment is characterized by an informal tone in a dynamic workplace where deadlines and schedules dictate a high-speed execution. A structured and committed work effort across geographies, colleagues, terminals and vessels is needed to secure a high quality.

The tasks and responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator primarily consists of:

• Coordination: This includes daily coordination between internal departments to ensure effective and timely planning, and external coordination with terminals, vessels etc.
• Optimization: We have a constant focus on optimizing and analyzing to ensure optimal vessel performance during seapassage and port stays, e.g. routes, bunker consumption, idle time, pilot productivity etc.
• Partnering: Building good relationships and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is key to identify areas of improvements and ensure Unifeeder’s vessels are operated optimally.
• Data validation: We want to strengthen our databases and processes for data-based decision making, which means exploring efficient ways to gather and work with data will be a focus area for the Coordination Team.

Professional qualifications:

• A relevant maritime educational background
• Sailing experience, preferably in a senior position onboard a feeder container vessel
• Good communication skills – experience with handling conflicts and maintaining relationships
• Knowledge of container stowage and dangerous goods handling
• Full professional proficiency in English
