The Protein Production facility at Department of Drug design and Pharmacology has one vacant position as a Laboratory Assistant.

About the department The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology (ILF) is a part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. Approximately 300 scientific and administrative staff members are employed at the department (2018) and deliver research and teaching within a wide range of disciplines.

About the Protein Production facility The facility provides several labs with equipment for protein production, DNA cloning, crystallization, and cell culturing of E-coli and higher cells.

Your tasks The tasks will consist of:

  • Autoclaving cell waste, pipette tips, micro tubes, culture flasks etc.
  • Packing pipet tips
  • Preparation of standard buffers and stocks
  • Disposal of clinical waste and recycling waste.
  • Filling of MQ water reservoir and EtOH spray flasks
  • Supply all labs with gloves, paper tissue, aluminum paper etc.
  • Cleaning of workstations in labs
  • Arranging cleaned glassware in place
Your competences We expect that you are responsible, thoroughly and flexible on time schedules. It is an advantage with some experience in lab work.

Terms of employment The employment will be in accordance with The Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organizations of Public Employees - governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and its officers in the state. Salary group 1, scale 1.

The position is permanent and would like to be occupied as soon as possible. The working hours are 5 hours pr. week.
