DCAM is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and community-oriented imam to serve as a spiritual leader and guide for our growing congregation. This is a full-time position with wide-ranging responsibilities in religious leadership, education, and community support.  

Key Responsibilities: • Lead the five daily prayers five days per week, and all Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers, including sermon (khutbah) and educational lecture. • Organize and lead Ramadan activities, including Tarawih prayers and lectures. • Deliver sermons and lead prayers for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. • Oversee funeral rites, provide guidance to families, and lead Janazah and burial ceremonies. • Develop and implement structured Islamic education programs for children, youth, and adults. • Conduct bi-weekly lectures in Albanian. • Offer daily consultation hours for members seeking Islamic advice or guidance. • Conduct wedding ceremonies for members in accordance with religious and legal requirements. • Support and collaborate constructively with the mosque board and community initiatives.  

Qualifications: • Proven experience as an Imam or similar religious leadership role. • Strong knowledge of Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and practice, particularly within the Sunni and Hanafi-tradition. • Fluent in Albanian. • Ability to teach, counsel, and engage respectfully with a diverse congregation. • High ethical and moral standards; a role model who embodies Islamic values. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
