The Embassy of Finland in Copenhagen is recruiting a Housekeeper and Catering Coordinator for a fixed-term contract until 15.10.2027.
The housekeeper works in close collaboration with the Head of Mission and the Property Management and Office Services Supervisor. The responsibilities include cleaning the embassy premises (representational, consular and office spaces) and textile care. The tasks also include coordinating and organising representational events in cooperation with external catering companies, including table setting, serving, decorating, coordinating external staff during events, making necessary purchases for events and other tasks assigned by the management. The position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
The post requires good organisational skills, basic IT skills, a proactive approach, team-working skills and flexibility, also regarding working hours. Proficiency in English is a requirement. Skills in Danish and other Nordic languages (Finnish, Swedish) is an asset, but not a requirement. Relevant professional expertise in an advantage, such as a vocational qualification in hotel, restaurant, or catering services, or other suitable education.
The position is subject to the terms and conditions of employment of locally employed staff and Danish law. The selected candidate will be in direct employment with the embassy. The weekly working hours are 36 hours and 15 minutes.
The selected candidate is expected to start as soon as possible, but no later than January 15, 2026. The position will be subject to a probationary period.
