BikeRunner.dk is a share economy platform (much like for example Uber) for bike mechanics and enthusiasts. The customer would order a repair or service on our website or app, and if the address matches your geographical zone - the order would be offered to you through our Runner app. Then you can choose to accept it, or offer a time. You create the invoice in the app, and keep 80% of the earnings yourself.
BikeRunner has existed in Denmark since 2019, and recently also opened in Holland. We have a network in Denmark of over 200 "Runners", and service bikes all around the country everyday.
Working as a Runner for us, is a freelance job. You can do the job either as a private person (maximum earning of 50k/year in B-income), or as your own company. BikeRunner does not have any demands on how many orders you take, or on when and where you are avaliable for work.
You do not need to be a certified bike mechanic, but you do need to be confident to as a minimum patch, change tubes and tires, on most bicycles. The more skills you have, the more orders are avaliable for you. BikeRunner is not avaliable for education, so you need to have these skills already to apply.
Working as a Runner is a great gig - if you are thinking about starting your own bike repair service, but also if you are a retired handyman who just want to get out and help your neighbours once in a while, or a bike competent student who wants to earn extra money in your free time.
At this point - we are very keen on finding new Runners to cover the area around Kolding/Middelfart, Svendborg/Fyn, Slagelse, Vejle/Horsens and Helsingør/northern Sjælland. But we operate in and around the 20 largest cities in Denmark, so any one living here is welcome to apply. Speaking Danish is not mandatory, but you have to otherwise be communicative in English.
