Do you want to help rethink the fashion industry – one upcycled collection at a time?
Heartbeat Studio is looking for a visionary and hands-on fashion designer with a passion for sustainability, experimental design, and social responsibility. You will play a key role in our upcycling department, where we transform used merchandise, textile waste, and discarded products into new, functional, and aesthetically compelling designs.

About Heartbeat Studio

Heartbeat Studio works at the intersection of recycling, upcycling, and social inclusion. We develop prototypes, collect used textiles and merchandise from companies, collaborate with students, and design unique upcycled collections for brands and events.
We collaborate with Herning Municipality, Bæredygtig Herning, Agenda Group, and are part of the accelerator program Beyond Beta.

Our culture is joyful, creative, solution-oriented, and professional – a place where people and ideas can grow.

Your responsibilities

As a fashion designer with us, you will work on:

  • Developing upcycled clothing collections and prototypes

  • Concept development, sketching, and garment construction

  • Redesigning used merchandise and textiles from our partners

  • Collaborating closely with our production and design teams

  • Ensuring quality in materials, fit, and techniques

  • Potentially facilitating workshops with students or citizens

  • Providing creative input for design projects with management and clients

We imagine that you

  • Hold a degree or have strong experience in fashion design, textile design, or similar

  • Have solid skills in construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques

  • Think creatively and conceptually – and can transform ideas into finished products

  • Are passionate about sustainable processes and experimental material use

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment where no two projects are alike

  • Can work independently while also contributing to cross-disciplinary collaboration

  • Are curious, solution-focused, and unafraid to think differently

We offer

  • An inspiring, open, and creative environment in the heart of Herning

  • The opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company

  • Collaboration with professional designers, students, and partner organizations

  • Projects with genuine sustainable and social impact

  • Flexible working hours and great freedom with responsibility
