Work with both buses and boats in Copenhagen
Are you an experienced mechanic looking for a varied, hands-on role in an international working environment? At Stromma, we are looking for a skilled and versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team in a full-time position (37 hours per week).
Your primary workplace will be our shipyard and bus workshop at Refshalevej 330, 1432 Copenhagen K. Danish language skills are not required.
About the role
As a mechanic at Stromma, you will help maintain and repair a unique and diverse fleet used in our sightseeing operations. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in an environment where flexibility, teamwork, and technical expertise are highly valued.
Our fleet consists of:
14 Hop On Hop Off buses
17 canal boats
6 classic wooden boats
3 electric 12 pax dinghies
Your workday will include both planned maintenance and urgent repairs primarily focused on buses. The role offers a high degree of variation, and no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities
General maintenance of buses
Troubleshooting and ad hoc repairs (engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, etc.)
Engine servicing and mechanical repairs
Brake maintenance
Preparing vehicles and boats for annual inspections
Occasional maintenance of ticket offices, pontoons, and jetties
Your qualifications
Qualified mechanic with solid experience in servicing and repairs
Experience with marine engines is an advantage, but not required
Good understanding of electrical systems (AC and DC)
A bus driver’s license is an advantage, not a requirement
Additional skills such as carpentry, low-voltage DC systems (12/24 V), or IT knowledge are considered a plus
