Are you looking for the coolest job in town? We are expanding our Event Team, and are looking for a skilled and dedicated full-time Event Manager to join the team at Umbraco HQ in Odense.
Purpose of the position
To help execute our external events, targeting our developer community, partners, and direct customers, and gain new leads. Events include our biggest event of the year: Codegarden Week. Codegarden is a multi-day event filled with intriguing speakers, awesome community members, and out-of-the-box entertainment - all taking place in Copenhagen in June 2026. Besides this, we focus on our partner summits in our main markets, our year-round webinars, and industry events. You will be part of the awesome Event team, consisting of the head of Events and an Event Manager.
Qualifications

- Have a Bachelor's/AP degree (or currently studying towards a BA/AP), in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or Communications
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Have experience with planning and executing events - professionally or on a volunteer basis of +3 years (managing timelines, structuring tasks, developing and managing event budgets, overseeing on-site event execution, leading a team of staff on site)
- Great team collaboration and cross-department communication
- Excellent problem-solving skills, also in stressful moments, like in the middle of an event
- Have a go-getter attitude and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in event planning and execution
- Confident in juggling different tasks in a structured way
- Stress management, handling high-pressure situations both in the short and long term
- Have an eye for detail and are quality-oriented
- Have a sense of accountability and ownership of the events you are responsible for, being able to act proactively and ensure a successful event planning from A to Z with all stakeholders involved
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
- Events’ pre-planning, including determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, and program creation
- Vendors’ review, negotiation, and selection (mainly venue, AV, and caterers)
- Vendors’ follow-up and on-site coordination (mainly venue, AV, and caterers)
- Assigning duties to the events’ staff/contributors (work schedule and logistics)
- Oversee the events in progress and act quickly to resolve any problems or issues. E.g., making sure the venue/set-up is ready in a timely fashion, communicating with other staff, organizing suppliers, welcoming speakers and guests, etc.
Practicalities
- The position: Full-time position (37 hours/week)
- Location: On-site at Umbraco HQ in Odense, minimum 4 days a week
- Preferred starting date: October/November 1st, 2025
