The Umbraco SUITS team (Our amazing Sales and Partner Team) is looking for a talented intern who will help us expand the use of the Umbraco CMS in Europe and the rest of the world.
The team
The Sales Development Team is newly established, and it consists of two existing members who are both engaged in doing excellent outreach, managing inbound meetings, helping customers with commercial questions, and supporting Sales Managers in deal management and progression. This team fosters a vibrant team culture, celebrating victories and organizing quarterly team-building activities. Past events include beer brewing, pottery making, and spa days, enhancing the camaraderie that fuels our success.
The Role
The purpose of the internship is to generate and qualify leads by initiating contact with potential customers, helping to build a pipeline for yourself and the sales team.
Responsibilities:
After going through comprehensive training, where you will learn all about our software and services, your responsibilities will be to:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities coming either from our existing portfolio of customers or from new potential customers.
- Qualify incoming sales opportunities and make initial contact to introduce the Umbraco CMS and the services we provide, with emphasis on our Cloud platform.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of your activities in our CRM system.
- Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries via Intercom and other channels.
- Support Enterprise Managers in their sales activities and customer interactions.
- Follow up with leads, manage your sales pipeline, and maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in our CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with our technical presales team to prepare and deliver product demonstrations.
Over time, your work will also include:
- Attending relevant conferences.
- Suggesting improvements or ideas in the process of increasing the usage of Umbraco Cloud.
- Performing customer demonstrations of the Umbraco CMS and the services we provide.
- Potentially taking responsibility for closing smaller deals as opportunities arise.
Qualifications

- Feel comfortable taking charge and responsibility for your own tasks
- Are a good presenter and thrive in “taking the stage”
- Are fluent in English (English is our company language) and other language. German is a plus.
Your professional skills:
- Are currently studying, or have recently graduated from, an area of studies relevant to this position i.e. sales, marketing, communications, or even computer science, and/or have an interest in sales
- Have communication skill as you will be interacting with customers daily
- Have experience in sales (or are eager to learn how to sell)
- Have knowledge of a CRM system (not a need, but a plus)
- Are outgoing and enjoy establishing relationships
- Value being part of a team where feedback and sharing ideas are a natural way of supporting each other
Practicalities of the Internship
Internship Duration: Approximately 3-6 months
Location: Umbraco HQ, Buchwaldsgade 35, 2nd floor, 5000 Odense
After internship: Full time or part-time position (depends on internship evaluation).
Start Date: Preferably 18th of August 2025
