Eating Disorders Research Unit seeks secretary for a one year maternity cover

Do you have excellent administrative skills? Do you want to support important research?

We seek an experienced secretary to cover for a maternity leave, with the aim of providing high quality administrative support in the daily running of the Center for Research in Eating and feeding disorders (CEDaR).



The position Your main tasks will entail providing PA support to Prof Micali (for example, managing her calendar, assisting with travel bookings, booking meetings, updating CVs and publications), and other administrative tasks (examples include: HR procedures, ordering office supplies and invoices, booking staff meetings, assisting with meetings preparation, etc.)



About us The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research-CEDaR is a multicultural and multidisciplinary team recently set up with a large portfolio of grants, across epidemiological, genetic, neuroimaging, and clinical intervention studies in feeding and eating disorders.

We are a dynamic, collaborative, and international team, with Prof Nadia Micali, a Professor in Eating Disorders leading the unit. We are a diverse, international staff group comprised of 25 staff members with varying levels of seniority (administrator, postdocs, PhD Students, research nurse, research coordinator).

Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.



Qualifications We seek a task oriented and organized team player, eager to support team members with administrative work. The ideal candidate has:

Essential requirements:

  • A relevant academic or comparable education
  • PA experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Danish
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good IT skills
  • A collaborative and flexible attitude
Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in research administration, preferable in hospital settings within the Capital Region of Denmark or University setting in Denmark
  • Experience of SAP and/or invoicing platforms
  • Experience of HR procedures


Conditions The position is offered at 30-32 hours and open for appointment as soon as possible. The position will be initially for 1 year but might be extended to a permanent position thereafter.

Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organization.

About the Mental Health Center Ballerup Mental Health Center Ballerup is a part of Copenhagen University Hospital and one of nine departments, that provide treatment for mental disorders in the Capital Region of Denmark. The department consists of ten inpatient wards comprising 157 beds, nine outpatient clinics with several specialized functions and three research groups. We employ around 90 medical doctors and 80 psychologists in addition to nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and technical and administrative staff.
