To strengthen our core automation capabilities, we are looking for an Automation Specialist with a broad technical profile and strong hands-on experience across automation technologies.
The Role
As Automation Specialist – Core Automation & Technologies, you will act as a technical generalist and enabler within automation. Your focus will be on automation platforms, vision systems, technology standards, and tool chains, supporting projects and teams across the organization. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, and specialists to ensure robust, scalable, and standardized automation solutions — while continuously exploring and introducing new technologies.
This role is distinct from our data-focused automation roles and is centered on core automation excellence and technology ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Automation technologies & standards
Drive and maintain core automation technologies and standards
Support automation teams with best practices, tools, and platforms
Vision systems & inspection solutions
Design, deploy, and maintain vision solutions for automated production lines
Support vision setups, calibration, and troubleshooting
Automation toolbox & platforms
Maintain and develop the automation toolbox used across projects
Support SharePoint solutions, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Digitalization & enabling technologies
Contribute to digitalization initiatives and technical infrastructure
Support VPN, network, and system connectivity for automation solutions
Technology development & innovation
Research and evaluate new automation and production technologies
Apply AI/ML and data tools where relevant to improve automation performance
The role combines hands-on engineering with platform ownership and technical leadership across automation projects.
Your Profile
We are looking for a technically strong and versatile automation professional with a broad system understanding.
Key qualifications:
+5 years of experience within industrial automation
Strong, hands-on experience with automation systems and PLC programming
Solid experience with vision systems and vision-based automation
Experience with automation platforms, networks, and system integration
Familiarity with data analytics and AI/ML tools (advantage, not core focus)
Experience with high-level programming languages
Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
