If this sounds like you, then DRH Lindersvold’s 10-month International Volunteer Program in connection to Humana People to People might be just the right opportunity for you! 

About the program:

Our international Volunteer Program starts 4 times a year (January, April, August, and October) and provides aspiring international volunteers with the tools and knowledge needed to volunteer ethically and responsibly. The program is 10 months and consists of 3 phases:

  • 3️ months of holistic training and preparation at our school in Faxe, Denmark

  • 6️ months of contributing to Humana’s sustainable development projects in Malawi, Zambia, or India in the areas of education, public health, sustainable agriculture, or community development

  • 1️ month of reflection and knowledge sharing in Denmark and Europe

About you:

  • You are over the age of 18 and have a desire to contribute to ethical and sustainable development work

  • You are looking to expand your horizons and grow personally and professionally

  • You are comfortable speaking and using English

  • You are able to obtain a visa to stay in Denmark

Program costs:

The cost of the program is 3500 euros with the possibility to apply for need-based scholarships, covering up to 85% of the program fees.

The program costs cover housing, food, tuition, and education materials, during the 4 months in Denmark (the 3 month training period + the 1 month knowledge sharing period).

The 6 month volunteer period is sponsored by a travel grant by Humana People to People. This includes: accommodation, food, flights to-and-from the project location from Denmark, visas, and vaccinations. Volunteers will also get a monthly stipend of 150 euros to help cover their basic needs during the project period.
