If you are a skilled communication specialist with an ambitious drive to develop the internal and external communication profiles of a large research center of excellence, you may be the perfect fit for this role. At DTU Biosustain, we are about to take the next big leap forward as we launch the new Novo Nordisk Foundation Biotechnology Research Institute for the Green Transition (BRIGHT). You will become a key communications partner for our new center director and leadership team, supporting, among other things, the development and implementation of a new communication strategy.
At the Novo Nordisk Foundation BRIGHT research institute at DTU, you can look forward to being part of an interesting environment counting approx. 50 nationalities, including top scientists from all over the world. We create novel methods and technologies as a foundation for development of new environment friendly products, better and less energy consuming manufacturing processes, development of sustainable novel food ingredients, climate friendly farming, etc. In other words, we try to solve some of the biggest challenges in the history of mankind, and you will get the chance to contribute to this.

Your responsibility will be to develop and implement the center’s communication strategy in cooperation with the Center’s Executive Director and Leadership Team.

You will be joining us at a very exciting time. Our new direction and leadership team mean that you’ll need an entrepreneurial spirit and should be motivated by taking on new responsibilities and develop approaches that support the new organizational direction and culture. In other words: your tasks will evolve as the new leadership settles in, and you will play a key role in supporting them in shaping of the new identity and culture of our mission-driven research center.
You will be operating in an international environment with a complex stakeholder landscape including top scientists and biotech alliance networks from all over the world. You will need a good organizational understanding to know who to reach out to in different situations, as well as ambition to fundraise for capacity building to support leadership’s effort to integrate the center’s missions in European and international bioeconomy networks.
You will be a part of the Center’s executive operations lead by the Executive Center Director. As the executive director’s senior adviser, you will be coordinating tasks and leading the communication team that - in addition to yourself – includes our external communication officer and internal communication and visual specialist.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The salary will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
We offer a position with 30 hours a week starting January 1st 2026.
