As a Cafe Operations Associate, your main focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities, support the team with various tasks such as handling deliveries, organising the stock, ordering new supplies, handling our different categories of trash and waste in a sustainable manner, managing supplies, and helping customers. You’ll play a vital role in creating a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily cafe operations to ensure all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner
• Handle trash and waste management, ensuring that empty bottles and cardboard is packed properly and picked-up
• Clean and maintain the cafe, including tables, floors, kitchen, and other customer-facing areas
• Helping on dishes during rush-hours
• Refill supplies as needed, including napkins, condiments, and beverage stations
• Order and refill stock
• Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams as needed, ensuring a smooth flow of operations during busy hours
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, take-away gear and other essential items
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and helping with customer needs
• Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring that the cafe operates in compliance with regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or customer-facing environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting and moving supplies.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
