Powering BioMar’s data-driven journey 
As a Database Engineer at BioMar, you will play a central role in strengthening and scaling BioMar’s modern Azure-based data platform. This is a hands-on, technical role where you will ensure the stability and performance tuning of BioMar’s Azure SQL databases, design and optimize ETL/ELT processes in Azure Data Factory, and build data models that enable global reporting and business insights. 

Your responsibility will include close collaboration with data analysts to translate raw data into business value, while working side-by-side with a Data & BI Architect on design decisions and best practices. The position includes contributing to platform standards, knowledge sharing, and supporting a team culture where quality, collaboration, and curiosity are valued. 

You will be part of the Data & BI team, reporting to the Head of Data & Business Intelligence, and working in an international setup with colleagues based in Denmark, Norway, and Spain, where knowledge sharing within the team is key to success. 

Technical expertise and a collaborative mindset 
We are looking for a candidate who is a skilled data professional who combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset. You are motivated by building reliable data solutions that create real business value and are comfortable working hands-on with databases, data models, and ETL/ELT workflows.  

You may have a background in SQL database engineering, data engineering, or BI development, and you bring experience with tools such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies. More important than meeting every single requirement is your skill at working with data in a structured and efficient way. 

You enjoy collaborating across functions and geographies, translating technical challenges into practical solutions, and contributing to a shared team effort.
