The Department of Clinical Medicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as a academic project coordinator within the AIM@CANCER research center as per 1 April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed-term full-time position for 6 years.

Department of Clinical Medicine

As an academic project coordinator at the Department of Clinical Medicine, you will be part of what is probably the largest health science research department in Denmark. Our clinical research covers all the medical specialities and takes place in close collaboration with the university hospital and the regional hospitals in the Central Denmark Region. We have approx. 30,000 square metres of modern research facilities for experimental surgery and medicine, animal facilities and also advanced scanners at our disposal. The department has overall responsibility for the Master's degree programs in medicine and in molecular medicine. At the department we are approx. 670 academic employees, 500 PhD students and 160 technical/administrative employees who are cooperating across disciplines. The AIM@CANCER center

The AIM@CANCER center is hosted by Aarhus University and includes researchers from University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet), Odense University Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY. The objective of the center is to develop Artificial Intelligence methods for high quality radiotherapy of cancer patients, using large-scale medical images primarily from Denmark. The research center will collaborate closely with DESIRE - the Danish Data Science Research Infrastructure In Radiotherapy also funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The tasks will therefore to some extent relate to both projects.

Your job responsibilities

As academic project coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily administration of the research center in collaboration with the center director, and other administrative staff at the department.

Your main tasks will consist of:

• Project administration, including financial reporting and legal matters in collaboration with AU Research and External Relations
• Project management relating primarily to AIM@CANCER, and to some extent also to DESIRE
• Planning, execution, and follow-up of project meetings, including both administrative and research meetings
• Communication with national and international partners, including participation in national and international meetings
• Popular communication of center news, research results and events, including maintenance of content on center website

You will report to the Director of the AIM@CANCER Center Professor of Medical Physics Stine Korreman.
