Do you want to contribute to climate adaptation strategies in coastal areas across Danish and German borders? We are looking for a dedicated Academic Assistant to join the Interreg project ClimateBlue for a period of 1 year and 3 months with the possibility of extension. The project aims to increase knowledge and build social capital to support the development of local, regional, and national long-term strategies for climate adaptation in coastal regions.
About the Position:
As an Academic Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering Subgoal 2: “Place-based scientific knowledge base and scenarios for case studies.” Your main responsibilities will include:
Organizing and participating in meetings with Danish municipalities and German stakeholders to assess needs for climate-related model projections (e.g., sea-level rise, erosion) and potential solutions (e.g., citizen engagement, coastal protection, nature-based solutions).
Contributing to the development and discussion of case studies with project partners.
Establishing a cross-border GIS database/dashboard.
Performing GIS data analysis and presenting results to project partners and network partners.
Participating in project meetings, including subgoal meetings, partner and network meetings, and, when relevant, steering committee meetings.

Holds a relevant educational background.
Has experience with GIS and data analysis.
Communicates effectively and collaborates well with diverse stakeholders.
Works independently and in a structured manner.
