Technical Sciences Tenure Track

Highly qualified candidates are appointed as Assistant Professors for a period of six years with the prospect of performance- based advancement to a tenured Associate Professorship.

Shortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the assessment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. The selection is made on the basis of an assessment of who of the candidates are most relevant considering the requirements of the advertisement. All applicants will be notified within 6 weeks whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee and will receive his/her assessment.

The application must be in English and include a curriculum vitae, degree certificate, a complete list of publications, a statement of future research plans and information about research activities, teaching portfolio and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any). Appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The position
We seek a highly motivated and skilled tenure track assistant professor to join our research team. The successful candidate will focus on feed processing and evaluating the effects of various process techniques and parameters on process efficiency, product composition, quality and functionality.
We are seeking a candidate who can span the interface between nutrient functionality and process technology, and develop sustainable feed ingredients for animals, and in collaboration with human nutritionists, new food ingredients.
Qualifications for the position
- Academic qualifications in feed/food processing biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field with an interest in animal nutrition.
- Academic qualifications in extracting and modifying biopolymers, process optimisation and understanding of structure-function relationships.
- Experience in experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication and writing.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in establishing a research platform for feed processing.
- For non-Scandinavian candidates an effort to learn to read, write, and speak Danish is a requirement.
