  • Inwatec
  • Hvidkærvej 30, 5250 Odense SV

Are you excited by cutting-edge automation, real-world problem solving, and getting hands-on with complex industrial machinery? At Inwatec, we build advanced automation systems and robotics for industrial laundries worldwide, and we’re looking for a Software Commissioning Engineer to help bring these systems to life on customer sites.

As a Software Commissioning Engineer, you will be a central part of our dynamic commissioning team, playing an important role in installing the machines, having dialogue with our customers, and helping them get the most out of our systems. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love blending software, PLCs, and hardware, enjoy seeing your work make an immediate impact in the field, and love travelling the world … we’d love to meet you.

YOUR TASKS

  • Execute testing, installation, and commissioning of Inwatec’s automation systems at customer sites in Denmark and world-wide.
  • Organize and perform pre-commissioning tests and system validation.
  • Lead and participate in pre-commissioning and planning activities, including preparation of Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Field Acceptance Tests (FAT) documentation.
  • Conduct SAT/FAT and ensure proper handover to customers.
  • Provide on-site service, troubleshooting, and technical support during and after commissioning.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, Inwatec partners and suppliers throughout the commissioning process.
  • Ensure a strong customer-centric approach and drive high customer satisfaction during all project phases.
  • Develop and test new system features locally and on-site.
  • Contribute to software and PLC development, configuration, and testing for new and existing machines.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve issues and continuously improve system performance.
  • Dissemination of customer feedback and technical observations to the development team.
  • Contribute to high operational reliability and quality at customers' premises.

WE OFFER

  • You will become part of a software commissioning team that works to provide our customers with the best support and ensure their operations.
  • An exciting position where you will get both the in-house and field exposure.
  • Opportunity to influence our solutions through your knowledge and feedback.
  • A key role between customers and engineers.
  • A dynamic and informal working environment with skilled colleagues.
  • Good development opportunities – both technical and personal.
  • A truly global perspective: gain international experience and build a professional network across different cultures and industries.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are educated in the technical/engineering field with a relevant degree.
  • Experience with industrial automation, robotics, machinery, or similar systems.
  • Understanding of PLCs, industrial networks, and electromechanical systems.
  • You are hands-on with a customer mindset and are taking on travel on short notices.
  • You will spend roughly 100-150 days a year travelling on customer sites. For you, a good day at the office might mean fine-tuning a robot in Asia one week and troubleshooting a system in North America the next. You enjoy the autonomy of travel and the unique satisfaction of seeing a machine go "live" halfway across the globe.
  • You are motivated, structured, self-driven and love to solve customer problems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Great communication skills and a service-oriented personality.
  • Previous commissioning or field service experience is a big plus.
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain professional communication across different cultures and time zones.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Having a drivers license category B.
